MPI-SP Blog: A chance for our researchers to showcase their work to a wider audience

February 11, 2026

We are excited to announce the launch of our MPI-SP Blog section. The blog offers our junior scientists an opportunity to share their research with an audience passionate about security and privacy. Each post will offer our scientists’ perspectives on the current challenges and innovations in their fields.

Our newsroom will continue to cover topics in a manner accessible to all readers. In contrast, the blogs are designed for readers who have a foundational understanding of security and privacy concepts, cultivating a space where technical ideas can be explored and discussed in greater depth. This approach aims to connect audiences at every level, from sparking the curiosity of the security novice to challenging those who are eager to dive deeper into the topics.

In the first blog post, Amin Abdulrahman and Hoang Nguyen Hien Pham, Doctoral Researchers in the Cryptographic Engineering Group at MPI-SP, address the current need for practical Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and present an upgrade to an existing open-source silicon to efficiently support PQC.
