How to find us
By car
The fastest way is via the motorway junction Bochum/Witten, where the motorways A43 and A44 meet. Simply take the exit for Bochum-Querenburg and follow the signs for “Ruhr-Universität”. Get off from Universitätsstraße at "Ruhr-Universität West" and follow the signs to the Medicine Buildings until you reach "M-Nordstraße". The MPI-SP is located in the building "Vita Campus" (VC). The parking area is in front of the building. Please inform us before your visit so that we can give you access to the parking area.
By plane
The nearest airports to Bochum are in Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Cologne-Bonn, Frankfurt, and Amsterdam (sorted by increasing distance). From these airports you can take the train to Bochum main station (Bochum Hbf).
By public transport
From Bochum Hbf take the metro U35 with direction Ruhr-Universität/Hustadt and get off at "Ruhr-Universität". From there it is a 5 minutes walk. The MPI-SP is located in the building "Vita Campus" (VC).
