1st Summer School in the Security and Governance of Collective Digital Infrastructures (SGCDI)
14-16 July 2026
The Summer School in the Security and Governance of Collective Digital Infrastructures (SGCDI) is a space for dialogue and agenda setting between technical and social scientists, that bridges technical expertise in security and privacy with analytical frameworks and empirical knowledge from social science to reason rigorously about institutions, power, and collective action. Participants will jointly explore what new problems emerge when designing technology in a collective setting, and sow the seeds for new interdisciplinary collaborations on research projects.
Hardware Reverse Engineering Workshop (HARRIS 2026)
24-25 March 2026
This in-person workshop strives to bring together the international hardware reverse engineering community, be it partners from industry, academia, or government. It aims to facilitate an open exchange within the community, spark future collaborations to advance the state of the art in hardware reverse engineering research, and together overcome existing limitations.
Mini Symposium on Security and Privacy
17 November, 2025
The Mini Security and Privacy Symposium brought together researchers and practitioners to explore emerging challenges in cybersecurity and user-centered design. The program featured engaging talks on the limitations of enterprise threat detection systems, novel techniques for automatically synthesizing exploits in Node.js environments, and the critical role of understanding users in the age of AI. These contributions sparked insightful discussions on both technical vulnerabilities and the human factors shaping security and privacy. The event concluded with an interactive mentoring session, fostering knowledge exchange and supporting the next generation of researchers in the field.
Symposium on Challenges in a Digitalized Society
7-8 July, 2025
This symposium delves into the complex interplay of societal norms, law, technology, and policy in an increasingly digital world. As digital systems become deeply embedded in every aspect of life—from communication and governance to commerce and social interaction—new challenges arise that test the resilience, fairness, and adaptability of our institutions and communities. The interdisciplinary event is dedicated to exploring critical issues such as algorithmic accountability, digital inequality, data governance, and the shifting boundaries between public and private spheres.
Hardware Reverse Engineering Workshop (HARRIS 2025)
17-18 March, 2025
The third edition of the HARRIS Workshop brought together experts from academia, industry, and government to exchange knowledge, discuss challenges, and foster collaborations in the field of hardware reverse engineering. The two-day workshop welcomed participants to an extensive program, including six topic sessions with 18 accepted talks covering a broad spectrum of hardware security and reverse engineering topics.
Symposium on Systems Security
