Unsolicited applications

Unsolicited applications are welcome (especially for internship opportunities). Applications must be submitted directly by email to the respective faculty member and should include the following documents:

  • A current curriculum vitae (CV)

  • An up-to-date transcript of records

  • A detailed description of your academic background, research interests, and how they align with the prospective advisor's research direction

Applications that are incomplete, not addressed to a specific faculty member, or do not demonstrate a clear research fit will not be considered. Due to the high volume of inquiries, we are unfortunately unable to respond to requests regarding the status of applications.

* The recognition of an internship as a mandatory internship is determined exclusively by the respective home university. As recognition criteria vary between institutions, no guarantee of recognition can be provided.

RUB-Students: Please note MPI-SP does not qualify as a “company” in the scope of the “Industrial internship in IT security”.

** Applications must be submitted directly to the respective faculty member via email and should include a current CV and an up-to-date transcript of records. Please also include detailed information about your background, research interests, and how they relate to the envisioned advisor's research direction.  General applications will not be considered. Please note that inquiries regarding application status cannot be accommodated.
