Boya Wang (Any pronoun)
Main Focus
My research interests are privacy engineering and applied cryptography. Generally speaking, I am interested in understanding the asymmetry of this world. I ask myself whether, why, and how we shall use the asymmetry of computational complexity in cryptography to balance out the asymmetry of power in the real world.
Currently I am working on the following projects:
- Censorship and its resistance in the Chinese context
- Library patron privacy and copyright law compliance in the digital sphere
Please refer to my website for the latest research developments, concrete examples of previous work, student project/thesis/internship opportunities, collaboration ideas etc.
