Outstanding Computing Alumni Award for Marcel Böhme
The Outstanding Computing Alumni Award recognizes alumni who distinguished themselves in their chosen fields and brought honor to their alma mater.
Marcel Böhme, group leader at the Max Planck Institute for Security and Privacy received the Outstanding Computing Alumni Award (OCAA) from his alma mater National University of Singapore (NUS). This award recognizes alumni of NUS’s School of Computing (SOC) who brought honor to the university via distinguishing themselves in their chosen field. Böhme received his PhD from NUS Computing in 2014 for his thesis on “Automated Regression Testing and Verification of Complex Code Changes”.

“It is only for the focus on excellence, rigor, and creativity at SOC that I became a faculty member at one of the top institutions in the world, the Max Planck Institute”, Böhme says. As a group leader at the MPI-SP he is working on the automatic discovery of security flaws at very large scale.
